Mistaken Rib Hat and Scarf

This has been a favorite stitch pattern here at Wildflower for beginners ready to read a stitch pattern to seasoned knitters alike.

Skill level Intermediate
Techniques used: following a stitch pattern, knitting in the round

 Size
Scarf: approx 4” wide by 60” long
Hat: 22” circumference

Materials:
“CREME” by Crystal Palace, 60% wool, 40% silk, 124yds/50g : 3 balls for hat and scarf.
Size US 8 (5.0mm) needles or size needed to obtain gauge for scarf
Size US 8 (5.0mm) circular 16” needles and double point needles for hat
Tapestry needle
Stitch markers (for hat)

 Gauge:
16 sts and 32 rows = 4” (when measured flat and blocked in stitch pattern).
