This pattern combines both the cardigan and vest version of this popular design.

Based on a technique credited to Horst Schultz, these mitered corner squares offer countless possibilities in terms of design as well as color. Don’t be daunted by the number of squares-it really is addictive to ‘build” this sweater in two-inch blocks at a time.

Techniques used: cable cast-on, picking up stitches, crochet trim decreasing and increasing.
